Our Glen Waverley residence is defined by a carefully composed sequence of outdoor spaces that respond to both the architecture and the surrounding landscape. The entry garden features a circular reflection pond and a stepping path leading to the doorway, framed by lush, considered planting that introduces texture and movement while softening the formality of the home.
Above, a rooftop terrace provides an elevated space for entertaining, with integrated seating, a fireplace, and a discreet bar. Feature trees extend through roof oculi, creating subtle vertical connections that punctuate the terrace while maintaining openness and visual continuity.
The rear garden is anchored by a large circular wet-edge pool with an internal sunlounging island, forming the central focus of the space. Poolside areas are arranged for relaxation and circulation, complemented by an outdoor shower and a sunken fire pit. Broad steps lead down to a sports court adjacent to a private wellness room, providing a dedicated area for yoga and active recreation. Planting and materials are carefully composed and layered, reinforcing spatial hierarchy while maintaining a sense of calm, cohesion, and understated elegance throughout the garden.
The design prioritises proportion, clarity, and functionality, creating a landscape that is quiet, considered, and intimately connected to the architecture. Each space flows into the next, offering both moments of retreat and areas for social engagement, resulting in a garden that is both a statement and highly resolved.
